SLAF Commences 69th Anniversary Celebrations with a 'Pichcha Mal Pooja'
The Sri Lanka Air Force which is gearing up to celebrate it's 69th Anniversary as the “Guardians of the Skies” conducted the “Pichcha Mal Pooja” at Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya for the third consecutive year. The event was organized under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias this evening (1 March 2020) by SLAF Station Colombo, to invoke blessing on those who laid down their lives for the motherland and the entire Air Force.
The Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, members of the Air Force Board of Management, their families, officers and other ranks from AFHQ and SLAF Station Colombo participated for the event.
