Newly Renovated Bridge at Thalathuduwa Temple Declared Open by Commander

The newly renovated bridge of the Thalathuduwa Aranya Senasana at Koggala was declared open by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias today (12 June 20).

The construction was done in line with the 69th Air Force anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Air Force and the construction was carried out by SLAF Station Koggala under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering. The total project was funded and constructed by Sri Lanka Air Force.

The function was attended by Dr. Venerable Omalpe Sobhitha Thero, Venerable Elle Indrasobhana Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Thalathuduwa Aranya Senasanaya and also by many other Chief Incumbents of Temples in the area. The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Manoj Galappaththi, Officers and Other Ranks of the Station were also present for the function.

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
