SLAF Fire Fighters Rush to Assist in the Rescue Mission of the Collapsed Building in Kandy
SLAF Fire Fighters attached to the Sri Dalada Maligawa rushed to the site yesterday morning (20 September 2020) when a multi-storied building in Buwelikada, Kandy caved-in and collapsed on to a hotel located down below it.
Five (5) fire fighters from the SLAF Fire and Rescue Unit located at the Sri Dalada Maligawa were informed and as a result rushed to assist in the rescue mission which was carried out by SL Army troops. The said building which was in Sanghamitta Mawatha, Buwelikada had caved-in and collapsed around 0500hrs in the morning.
