CHANGE OF COMMAND AT THE SLAF REGIMENT TRAINING SCHOOL VANNI
The Outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni, Air Commodore DCI Weerasooriya USP, isc, psc handed over duties to Group Captain GSN Priyadarshana RSP and Bar, USP, Justice of Peace. The Ceremonial Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade took place at the Station today (5 December 2020).
The outgoing Commanding Officer took over Command of the Regiment Training School Vanni on the 10th of March 2020 and served at the position for nine months. During his tenure he has taken vast measures in controlling COVID-19 Pandemic by establishing the first SLAF Quarantine Center at Sri Lanka Air Force Regiment Training School Vanni. Further, he also took measures to uplift the living condition of Officers, Airmen and Civilians who live in close proximity.
The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain GSN Priyadarshana was the Commanding Officer of No. 26 Regiment Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Regiment Training School, Vanni.
