CHANGE OF COMMAND AT SLAF STATION MIRIGAMA
The change of command at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Mirigama was held today (11 December 2020).
The outgoing Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Mirigama, Group Captain NK Thanippuliarachchi RWP, RSP and two Bars, USP, MSc (Def &Strat Stu), Pg Dip(Def Mgt), psc handed over command of the Station ceremonially to Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita MSc (Strat Stu), fawc.
The traditional Handing Over / Taking Over parade was held where the Outgoing Commanding Officer thanked all Service and Civilians personnel for their support extended to him during his tenure as the Commanding Officer. Group Captain Thanippuliarachchi will subsequently take over an Assistant Military Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Defence.
