The change of command at the Air Defence Command and Control Centre at SLAF Station Mirigama was conducted today (12 December 2020).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain GGSR Gunawardana MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MHRM,Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc handed over the duties to Wing Commander IWADS Wickramarachchi MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BA (Soc Sci), psc.

The traditional Handing Over/Taking Over ceremony was held where the Outgoing Commanding Officer thanked all Service personnel for their support extended to him during his tenure. Group Captain GGSR Gunawardana will subsequently take over duties as Head of Training Team at the Air Wing, Defence Services Command and Staff College, Sapugaskanda.
