The change of command at SLAF Base Ratmalana was held today (15 December 2020). The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade was conducted at the Base Parade Square where the outgoing Base Commander Air Commodore RS Wickremeratne RWP and two Bars, RSP and two Bars, USP, MSc (Strat Stu), M Phil, ndc (Ind), fawc, qfi handed over command to Air Commodore LC Dissanayake RWP and Bar, RSP and Three Bars, MSc (MOA), MSc (Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), BSc (Def Stu), fawc, psc.

The new Base Commander, Air Commodore Dissanayake held the appointment of Base Commander, SLAF Base Vavuniya before being appointed to command SLAF Base Ratmalana.
