The SLAF Men's Team became Joint Champions along with the Sri Lanka Army at the "Mayor's Challenge Trophy – 2021” All Island ‘A’ Division Hockey Tournament which was held at the Sports Ministry Artificial Astro Hockey turf in Colombo 07. The event was conducted from 1st to 10th April 2021.

The finaI encounter was abended by the Tournament Director due to bad weather conditions before match full time. By that time the score was 1 Goal each to both teams. Leading Aircraftsman Fernando WWAPU was adjudged the Man of the Match of the final .SLAF beat SL Navy in their Semi-final by 3 goals to nil to reach the finals.

The Mayor of the Colombo Municipal Council, Her Worship Rosy Senanayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
