CHANGE OF COMMAND AT SLAF STATION BIA
The change of command at the SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) took place yesterday (11 May 2021) at the Station premises.
The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore MDJ Wasage USP, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, Pg Dip (IR) handed over command to Group Captain SC Wijayanayake USP, MBA in HRM. The new Commanding Officer previously held the appointment of General Manager, Eagles’ Lake Side Banquet and Convention Hall at Attidiya.
The Handing Over / Taking Over Parade was held where the Outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Wasage addressed all ranks of the Station and thanked all service and civilian personnel for the support extended during his tenure. Air Commodore Wasage will be proceeding to take over command of SLAF Station Colombo subsequently.
