SLAF BELL 412 DEPLOYED TO MONITOR FLOOD SITUATION

Due to the inclement weather currently prevailing in the island, an SLAF Bell 412 Helicopter from the No 4 Helicopter Squadron was deployed todays (04 June 2021) on a reconnaissance mission in order to evaluate the flooding situation which is threatening several districts.

Due to the overflowing of the Kelani River, Kalu River and the Attanugalu Oya the Bell 412 Helicopter operated in the Minuwangoda, Gampaha, Ratnapura, Kiriella, Bulathsinghala and Horana areas in order to ascertain the extend of the flooding situation.
