HEATED HUMIDIFIED OXYGEN THERAPY UNIT (HHOT) HANDED OVER TO GAMPAHA DISTRICT GENERAL HOSPITAL

A ‘Heated Humidified Oxygen Therapy Unit’ manufactured by the Sri Lanka Air Force was officially handed over to the Gampaha District General Hospital this afternoon (05 June 2021). This Unit will be used in the treatment of patients who have contracted COVID-19.

The manufacturing of this Unit which was done by the General Engineering Wing based at SLAF Base Katunayake and funded by the United Trade Union of Gampaha was handed over to the Director of the Gampaha District General Hospital, Dr. Priyantha Eleperuma.

The event which was held with adherences to COVID preventive health guidelines was attended by the Director General Engineering of the SLAF, Air Vice Marshal MD Ratnayake, Officers and Other Ranks from the SLAF, members of the United Trade Union of Gampaha and staff from the Gampaha District General Hospital.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
