CIVIL ENGINEERING WING CELEBRATES 18TH ANNIVERSARY

Civil Engineering Wing SLAF Base Katunayake, celebrated its’ 18th anniversary today (13 June 2021). The CEW presently consists of 14 Civil Engineering Officers and 1713 airmen trained under various disciplines in the field of Civil Engineering. This formation was established to undertake all major constructions and renovations in the Sri Lanka Air Force and the State sector as planned by Air Force Headquarters.

The event was marked by donating dry ration packs to CEW airmen presently at SLAF Base Kat who are badly affected by recent inclement weather.  Only cross section of Officers and airmen took part the event due to the present pandemic situation.

The event was organized by service personnel of the Wing under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander ND Ekanayake.


Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
