The Change of Command Parade of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana was held today (01 September 2021) at the Wing Premises. The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain KRP Ekanayake USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), Pg Dip (HR), psc took over command from the outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore MJR Perera USP, BSc (Def Stu).

Group Captain Ekanayake the new Commanding Officer was deployed on a United Nations peace keeping mission with the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit in South Sudan before taking over command of the Wing.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Perera will be proceeding to Air Force Headquarters where he will be taking up the appointment of Staff Officer Electronics 1 at the Directorate of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in the SLAF. During the parade, he thanked all personnel of the Wing for their relentless support during his tenure as the Commanding Officer.
