SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT DISTRIBUTES DRY RATION PACKS TO UNDERPRIVILEGED FAMILIES IN WEERAWILA

The Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit conducted a programme of distributing 100 dry ration packs worth Rs.5000.00 each to underprivileged civilians in the Weerawila area. This programme was funded by the “FUEL” Foundation for Uplifting and Empowering Lives.”

Identifying the timely requirement of this community project was conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana, on 25 September 2021.

The aim of the programme was to assist underprivileged families in these areas by giving a helping hand to them during the present pandemic situation. The Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Weerawila, Group Captain Rajinth Jayawardena attended the occasion along with a limited number of Officers and Other Rankers from the Station.


Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
