SLAF SHOOTERS REPRESENT SRI LANKA AT 58TH WORLD MILITARY GAMES

The Shooting Championship of the 58th World Military Games has been planned to held in Lahore, Pakistan. Eight (08) SLAF Shooters have been selected to represent our motherland at these games and they are due to depart the island tomorrow (30 September 2021). The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana conveyed his best wishes to the participants and wished them all success during the games.

Squadron Leader Manoj Wijewickrama, Flight Sergeant Sandakelum Ranasinghe, Corporal Priyanjan Dayawansha, Corporal Prasad Madushanka, Corporal Nishan Vithana, Corporal Maheshika Wayidyarathne, Corporal Deepani Mudunkoth and Corporal Shiroma Priyadharshani make up the representation from the Sri Lanka Air Force. They have proven their capabilities in the national and international shooting areas.

Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana in the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Air Force Shooting Pool with Squadron Leader Manoj Wijewickrama as the Secretary and Squadron Leader Madawa Bandara officiating as the Head Coach of the SLAF Shooting Pool.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
