16TH PHASE OF “GUWAN MITHUDAM” PROJECT COMPLETED AT KATUKURUNDA
The 16th phase of the “Guwan Mithudam” Project was successfully concluded yesterday (12 November 2021) by SLAF Station Katukurunda under the guidance of the Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
As the 15th phase, the School Buildings and the Children’s Park of the Ethagama Amarasekara Vidyala were renovated and handed over to the school children. This is a primary school located in the Kalutara District and more than 100 students who are from unprivileged families in the Ethagama area will be benefited though this project. Moreover, a donation of sports equipment was also made at the event.
This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Katukurunda and the event was successfully completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Katukunda, Air Commodore Mohan Balasuriya. The event was held with limited number of participants due to COVID-19 restrictions.
