MILITARY RIGGERS PASS OUT AT AMPARA
The badge awarding ceremony of the No. 08 Basic Military Rigger Course was held at the Drop Zone of SLAF Station Ampara today (16 November 2021). The Director Training of the SLAF, Air Vice Marshal HSS Thuyakontha graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara, Air Commodore GGWTK Gunawardana Chief Instructor of Parachute Training School, Squadron Leader KGDK Kiriwandeniya all officers and instructors were present to witness the occasion.
A total of 09 basic paratroopers including 06 SLAF officers, 03 Airmen received their insignia to mark the successful completion of Basic Military Rigger Training. The Director Training addressed the qualified service personnel and congratulated them on the successful completion of the course and extended best wishes for their service lives. The Air Force Sky diving team led by Squadron Leader UVS Bandara added colour to the occasion with a colourful parachute jumping display as well.
