22ND PHASE OF GUWAN MITHUDAM CONCLUDES AT SLAF STATION AMPARA

A fully constructed new Dancing Theatre at Abayapura Vidyalaya, Ampara was declared open by the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana as the successful completion of 22nd phase of Guwan Mithudam, today (16 January 2022).

Approximately, 103 students are studying in this school and the requirement of this facility was highly necessitated during last few years to uplift the standards and to facilitate students to achieve educational purposes. Moreover, school books and musical instruments were also donated to school children by the Chairperson on the same day.

The project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in association with SLAF Station Ampara and completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana.

President Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Station Ampara, Mrs. Priyanwadha Gunawardana, a cross section of Officers, Other Ranks of SLAF Station Ampara, Teachers and Students with their parents of Abayapura Vidyalaya were also presented for the ceremony. The event was held under the strict health guidelines in view of prevention of COVID-19.
