SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT CONDUCTS A HOUSE WARMING CEREMONY
A house constructed by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, was handed over to the family of Warrant Officer RUG Wijebandara yesterday (24 January 2022). The house was constructed under the guidance of Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit while the construction carried out by SLAF Base Katunayake. The overall project was completed under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering and the Southern Air Commander and Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa.
The ceremony held with a limited number of participants due to the health restrictions of COVID - 19. Southern Air Commander and Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, President Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Base Katunayake, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, Director Performing Arts, Group Captain Anuruddha Wijesiriwardena, few Officers and Other Ranks of SLAF Base Katunayake and representatives from SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit were also present for the ceremony.
