1ST AND 2ND LEGS OF GUWAN HAMUDA PAPEDI SAWARIYA 2022 COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY

The First leg of the 23rd Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya ended at Puttalam yesterday (4 March 2022) having covered a distance of 138km. Sri Lanka Army Cyclist Sandaruwan Pinto won the 1st leg of the race while Sandun Kumara from Fun Bee Racing Cycling Club and Ashen Tharuka of Sri Lanka Air Force finished as second and third places respectively.

The second day of the Men’s Cycle race commenced from Puttalam and completed at Dambulla today (5 March 2022) covering a distance of 142km.  Sri Lanka Army cyclist Awishka Dilruwan Madonza won the 2nd leg while second and third places clinched by Chamod De Silva of Sri Lanka Port Authority and Prabash Madushanka of Sri Lanka Navy respectively.

The third (final) leg of the race will begin tomorrow morning (06 March 2022)  from Dambulla. The third leg will cover a distance of 150km and will complete at Katunayake.

The Women's race will also start tomorrow (06 March 2022) from Puttalam and will be finished at Katunayake covering a distance approximately 100km.
