The Change of Command of the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Katukurunda was conducted today (07 March 2022). The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade took place at the Station Headquarters where the outgoing Commanding Officer Air Commodore BAMP Balasuriya RSP, USP, MSc (Def & Start Stu), MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, BA (Def Stu), psc handed over the command to Group Captain A Hettiarachchi USP, Pg Dip (Def Mgt).

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain A Hettiarachchi assumed the office amidst religious blessings. Group Captain A Hettiarachchi previously held the appointment of Staff Officer I at Directorate of Information Technology before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Katukurunda.
