SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT COMMENCES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

In parallel to the celebrations of the International Women's Day, SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit kicked off series of events commencing from a house warming ceremony of newly constructed house for Leading Aircraftwoman De Silva DTD. The House Warming Ceremony was held today (07 March 2022) at Samanala Uyana, Kalupe, Hikkaduwa with the participation of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.

This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit while the construction was carried out by SLAF Station Koggala. The overall project was completed under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Thilina Rajapaksha.

The event was attended by a cross section of officers and other ranks from SLAF Station Koggala and representatives from SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit including Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Suresh Fernando.

The event was held in accordance to the health guidelines in view of prevention of spreading COVID -19.
