A STOCK OF ORGANIC FERTILIZER PRODUCED BY SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE HANDED OVER TO CEYLON FERTILIZER COMPANY LIMITED ‘LAK POHORA’

The Organic Fertilizer Project at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake, handed over its own produced organic fertilizer stock of 6000kg to the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (Lak Pohora) at Wattala yesterday (08 March 2022) in view of strengthening the Government’s organic fertilizer production drive on the directives of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.

The entire production process of Organic Fertilizer Project is supervised by the Command Agro Officer SLAF Base Katunayake, Group Captain Rajiv Kodippili to ensure the production meet the required quality standards prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture.
 
Manager Agriculture SLAF Base Katunayake, Group Captain Daminda Samarathunga handed over the stock of organic fertilizer to Chairman Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited, Major General Priyantha Perera (Retd) for distribution among the farmer community.

The event was attended by the Officer In charge Squadron Leader Kamal Jayasiri, Members of the Managerial Staff at Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited and other ranks of SLAF Base Katunayake.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
