EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL TRAINING SCHOOL CELEBRATES 10th ANNIVERSARY

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School at SLAF Station Palavi proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary on 12th March 2022. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School was initially established as Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training Wing at SLAF Station Sigiriya on 24th April 1987. Later, it was shifted to SLAF Station Palavi on 12th March 2012 while changing the name as it is today.

A customary Working Parade was held and reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander DGPL Jayathilaka. Following the parade, a friendly cricket tournament was held to boost the mutual cooperation among its all members.

In parallel to the anniversary, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School organized a 'Shramadana' campaign at Palaviya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya on 13th March 2022 with the participation of Officers, Instructors and Trainees.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
