The No 01 Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake proudly celebrated its 64th Anniversary today(01 April 2022). The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing was established at SLAF Base Katunayake on 01 April 1958.

The anniversary celebration commenced with a Working Parade and it was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Group Captain LAD Prasanna and followed by a tree planting event. The celebration continued with a friendly cricket and tug of war tournaments which were arranged to boost the mutual cooperation and the comradeship among its all members.

In parallel to the anniversary, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing organized a Corporate Social Responsibility Project of renovating all the unserviceable electrical equipment and wirings at 'Muditha Children’s Home' at Maradagahamulla on 28th March 2022.

Further, essential stationary items for the children were donated and a social evening was arranged with the participation of all children at the Children’s home, officers and airmen of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing.
