DEFENCE COOPERATION OFFICIALS AT UNITED STATES EMBASSY VISIT SLAF HEADQUARTERS

A special conference between SLAF and US officials held at SLAF Headquarters yesterday (20 April 2022). The SLAF delegation was led by Air Vice Marshal MD Rathnayake, Deputy Chief of Staff of SLAF and United States delegation was led by Lieutenant Commander Sean Jin, Chief of Office of Defence Cooperation at the US Embassy Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The bilateral discussions were focused on future institutional capacity building engagements at SLAF. The conference was attended by Director Air Operations, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, Director Training, Air Commodore Bandu Edirisinghe, Chief Instructor Defence Services Command and Staff College Batalanda, Air Commodore Channa Dissanayake, senior officers of the SLAF, Mr. Mathew B Ashely, Institute for Security Governance (ISG) Country Project Coordinator and other officials from Office of Defence Cooperation at United States Embassy.
