The Directorate of Media of SLAF organized a Five Day Workshop for Compères from 25 to 29 April 2022 at Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) which is a prestigious and a pioneered broadcaster for Compères in Sri Lanka.

The course was facilitated by Director Sinhala Service, Mr. Indika Jayarathna, Senior Announcer/Journalist, Mr. Wasantha Rohana, Voice Therapist/ English Announcer, Ms. Asanka Weerasinghe, Assistant Director Training, Lieutenant Colonel Thushari Welagedara, Award Winning Announcer, Mr. Himananda Rajapaksha and Director News, Mr. TDKA Jayaratne.

The Closing Ceremony of the workshop was held today (29 April 2022) at Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. The Chairman Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Mr. Hudson Samarasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Director Media of the SLAF, Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe and officials of SLBC also attended for the event. Certificates of completion were handed over to the participants during the closing ceremony and the ceremony was totally handled by the participants amply showcasing the skills that they learnt during the Work Shop.
