NO 4 VVIP/VIP HELICOPTER SQUADRON AT SLAF BASE RATMALANA CELEBRATES 57TH ANNIVERSARY
The No 4 VVIP/VIP Helicopter Squadron at Sri
Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana celebrated its 57th anniversary today (01
June 2022).
The celebration was marked by several events including a religious ceremony which held at SLAF Base Ratmalana, a donation of stationery and dry rations to Sarvodaya Children’s Orphanage at Attidiya and a donation of clothing items to ‘Mother’ charitable foundation at Moratuwa with the contribution and participation of the squadron personnel.
The No 4 Squadron serves with the utmost pride while engaging in the transportation of local and foreign dignitaries by using its variants of Bell 212, 412 and Mi-17 helicopters. Its 57 years of dedicated service to the nation is to be highlighted with many milestones which have been accomplished by the extreme devotion of the squadron personnel including its predecessors.
