The Commander of Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana declared open the newly constructed Officers’ Living/In Accommodation Block today (24 June 2022) at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala.   

This Officers’ Living/In Accommodation Block was designed and constructed by the Civil Engineering Wing and Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake under the supervision of the Director Civil Engineering, Air Commodore Udula Wijesinghe. This marked the fulfilment of the along-felt requirement. The newly constructed two-storied building consists of 18 fully furnished rooms with attached bathrooms which provide  accommodation for living in Officers.

Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, Members of the Air force Board of Management, the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Group Captain Demian Weerasinghe , Officers and Other Ranks were present for the opening ceremony.
