SLAF FALLEN WAR HEROES HONOURED AT WAR HEROES MONUMENT SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL EKALA.

The SLAF’s Fallen War Heroes Commemoration Ceremony 2022 was held today (24 June 2022), under the patronage by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana at the Sri Lanka Air Force War Heroes Monument, SLAF Trade Training School Ekala.

This is one of the premier events in SLAF’s calendar which has been planned annually and this year’s event was organized under the supervision of Director Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Hemantha Soysa and overall coordinated by Commanding Officer SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Group Captain Demian Weerasinghe.

Commander of the Air Force offered the first floral tribute at the memorial in memory of the supreme sacrifice made by the SLAF patriots. The event was attended by Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Commanding Officer SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Senior Officers, Command Master Warrant Officer, Others Ranks and followed suit.


Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
