124 Gunners Complete Advanced Training at Palaly

124 Gunners who successfully completed the 18th Gunner Advanced Course (TE II) had their passing out ceremony from SLAF Station Palaly on 16 December, 2010.

Completing 16 weeks of extensive training, they wer  focused on Drill, Weapon Training, Live Firing Exercises, Jungle Survival and Guerilla Warfare. The course also entailed skills such as Leadership Training, Intelligence Gathering, Model Briefing Skill Development, Air Power, Combat First Aid and basic IT knowledge.

Acting Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palaly Squadron Leader Rukman Dassanayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was followed by an awarding ceremony to appreciate outstanding performers of the course.

Corporal Frank KAADD was awarded the Best All Rounder of the No.18th Gunner Advanced Course while also bagged the accolades for Best Student and Best Physical Fitness.
