SLAF CONDUCTS A FIRE AND RESCUE DRILL AT THE LANKA HOSPITALS CORPORATION PLC

The Fire and Rescue service of SLAF has conducted a fire and rescue drill at the Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC, Narahenpita, today (24 August 2022).

33 SLAF Firefighters have participated in the firefighting and rescue exercise with the supervision of SLAF Chief Fire Officer, Group Captain WKASW Vithana and Exercise Commander, Squadron Leader BHMD Gunathilaka.

The SLAF Firefighters demonstrated the rescue tactics consisting rope rappelling which portrayed the operational readiness, firefighting and Hazardous materials (Hazmat) response capabilities.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
