NEW COMMAND MASTER WARRANT OFFICER TAKES OVER DUTIES
Master Warrant Officer WMSR Jayasinghe took over duties as the Command Master Warrant Officer (CMWO) of the Sri Lanka Air Force under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana today (08 September 2022) at Air Force Headquarters.
The Outgoing Command Master Warrant Officer of the SLAF, Master Warrant Officer DDAP Dissanayake handed over his duties to Master Warrant Officer WMSR Jayasinghe at the Commander’s Office. The Commander appreciated the valuable and dedicated service of Master Warrant Officer Dissanayake during his career in the Air Force and the tenure as the Command Master Warrant Officer.
Master Warrant Officer WMSR Jayasinghe joined the Sir Lanka Air Force on the 11th of July 2001 as a Motor Transport Mechanic Tradesman. He is an Automobile Technician and Master Instructor who has an exposure and experienced in automobile engineering field. Before being appointed as the Command Master Warrant Officer, he served in the capacity of Warrant Officer In charged at the Non Commissioned Officers’ Management School, SLAF Academy China Bay.
The Command Master Warrant Officer appointment was established in July 2017. The Command Master Warrant Officer is the senior-most Other Ranker in the Air Force and reports directly to the Commander of the Air Force. He is vested with the overall responsibility for all aspects related to the general administration and welfare of Other Ranks and non-executive civilian employees of the SLAF.
