COMMISSIONING PARADE AT AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS
14 Officer Cadets and Lady Officer Cadets from the No 34th, No.35th and No.36th Intakes of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University received the President’s Commission at Air Force Headquarters Colombo this morning (09 November 2022).
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana graced the parade as the Chief Guest on the invitation of the Chief of Staff and acting Director Training, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa.
The Officer Cadets/Lady Officer Cadets have successfully completed 3 years of academic and professional training and will take up their roles when performing duties to the Sri Lanka Air Force and to the motherland.
The Chief of Staff, members of the Air Force Board of Management, the Commandant of the SLAF Academy China Bay, Air Commodore Asela Jayasekera, Senior Officers and a cross section of other ranks attended the event.
