MINISTRY OF DEFENCE DECLARES GENERAL AMNESTY FOR TRI – FORCES ABSENTEES

Ministry of Defence declared general amnesty for the Tri-Forces absentees, enabling the legal discharge from the respective services.

The period of general amnesty is in force from 15 November 2022 until 31 December 2022.

The Air Force personnel who have been absent without official leave (AWOL) on or before 25 October 2022 are able to receive the discharge from Air Force legally and if any liability is due, it should be settled prior to discharge.

Furthermore, Ministry of Defence notifies that the Tri-Forces absentees who are presently overseas are also eligible to receive a legal discharge from their respective services without reporting to the Unit during declared General Amnesty period.  

Accordingly, the Air Force personnel who have been absent without official leave (AWOL) on or before 25 October 2022 are able to receive the discharge from the Air Force after duly recovering the liabilities.

Additionally, absentees who are overseas shall not be subjected to any outstanding legal hearings other than absence without official leave. Moreover, the Department of Immigration and Emigration shall certify that these individuals have not migrated overseas by illegal means or have not fraudulently prepared passports and other documents.
