The Change of Command of SLAF Base Anuradhapura was held today (16 December 2022). The traditional handing over / taking over parade was conducted at the Base parade ground. The Acting Base Commander, Group Captain JS Samarasekara RSP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), psc handed over the command to Group Captain WWNTP Fernando RWP, RSP and Bar, Msc (Def & Strat Stu), psc.

The new Base Commander, Group Captain WWNTP Fernando was the Commanding Officer at SLAF Station Mirigama before being appointed as the Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura.
