EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL TRAINING SCHOOL CELEBRATES 11th ANNIVERSARY

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School at SLAF Station Palavi celebrated its anniversary upon completion of 11 years of service yesterday (12 March 2023). The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School was initially established as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training Wing at SLAF Station Sigiriya on 24th April 1987, later changed its name to what it is today and shifted to SLAF Station Palavi on 12th March 2012.

The customary working parade was reviewed by the Acting Commanding Officer, Wing Commander PGB Medagewatta. Following the parade, a cricket tournament was held to develop comradery among the personnel.

In parallel to the anniversary, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School organized Shramadana campaigns at Palaviya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya and Base Hospital Puttalam on 11th March 2023 with the participation of officers, instructors and trainees.
