The Change of Command at General  Engineering  Wing (GEW) SLAF Base Katunayake, was held today (24 March 2023). The traditional handing over /taking over parade was conducted at the wing premises. The Commanding Officer, Group Captain MPPC Perera MSc (Mgt) handed over the Command to Group Captain MS Kumarage USP, BSc, (Def Stu).

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain MS Kumarage USP, BSc, (Def Stu) previously held the appointment of Commanding Officer at Research and Development Wing SLAF Base Katunayake before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of General Engineering  Wing (GEW) SLAF Base Katunayake.
