The Change of Command at SLAF Station Mirigama was held yesterday (03 April 2023) and the traditional handing over/taking over parade took place at Station Parade Square. The Acting Commanding Officer, Group Captain DSC Fernando RSP and two bars, USP, Pg Dip (LRHRM) handed over the command to Group Captain VS Jayakody WWV, RWP and bar, RSP and bar, USP, MSc (Def & Strat stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc, qfi.

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain VS Jayakody, previously held the appointment of Staff Officer Training I at the Directorate of Training in SLAF Headquarters before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mirigama.
