BADGES AWARDING CEREMONY OF NO 02 AND NO 03 CHEMICAL BIOLOGICAL RADIOLOGICAL NUCLEAR EXPLOSIVE ADVANCE COURSES

The Badges Awarding Ceremony for No. 02 and No. 03 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosive (CBRNE) Advance Courses took place yesterday (06 June 2023) at the Athletic Ground at SLAF Base Katunayake. Air Vice Marshal Lalith Jayaweera, the Director General Health Service, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

During the ceremony, a total of 50 trainees, consisting of 4 officers, 45 airmen, and 1 airwoman, were presented with their badges in recognition of their successful completion of the CBRNE Advance Courses conducted by No. 49 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosive Wing.

Flight Lieutenant Monali Samarakoon received the award for the Best CBRNE First Responding Officer, while Corporal Silva ANWGP was honoured as the Best CBRNE First Responding Airman from the No. 2 CBRNE Advance Course. Similarly, Flying Officer Sudarsha Rukshan and Sergeant Dandunnage CP were respectively acknowledged as the Best CBRNE First Responding Officer and the Best CBRNE First Responding Airman from the No. 3 CBRNE Advance Course.

In an impressive demonstration, the CBRNE first responders of No. 49 CBRNE Wing showcased their exceptional skills and capabilities in CBRNE emergency response and casualty evacuation procedures.
