NEW COMMANDER CONDUCTS THE COMMANDER'S INSPECTION AT SLAF BASE ANURADHAPURA
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, commenced the Commander’s Inspection from SLAF Base Anuradhapura yesterday (07 July 2023). The Commander was received by the Acting Base Commander, Group Captain MART Munasinhge. The Commander reviewed the Commander’s Inspection Parade, which was commanded by the acting Base Commander and during the parade, Certificates of Commendation were awarded to the deserving servicemen.

During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas of the Base including Base Headquarters, the No 6 Squadron, the General Engineering Work Shop, Supply and Air Movement Squadron and the No 21 Regiment Wing.
Concluding the Inspection, the Commander addressed all the ranks and civilian personnel of the Base at the No. 6 Squadron Hangar. He conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to all the individuals for their commitment to the SLAF. He urged them to persistently pursue elevated benchmarks of discipline and excellence. Furthermore, he emphasized to the members the indispensable necessity of maintaining an exemplary level of self-discipline, serving as a vital foundation for the sustained progress and prosperity of the SLAF in the times ahead.
