The Change of Command at No. 1 Supply and Maintenance Depot at SLAF Base Katunayake was held today (11 July 2023). The handing over / Taking over parade took place at the depot premises, where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore SR Udakumbura MA, BA (Def Stu), Pg Dip (Socio), MISMM, MIM (SL), AMIPM, AMITD (SL) handed over the Command to Group Captain NP Meregalage  USP, BA (Def Stu), psc.

Air Commodore SR Udakumbura has held the appointment of Commanding Officer since 17 February 2022 and will assume the new appointment as the Deputy Base Commander at SLAF Base Katunayake.
