In keeping with tradition, Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, paid homage to the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura today (15 July 2023) seeking blessings on his new appointment.

The Commander also worshiped Ruwanweli Seya and called on the Atamasthandhipathi, the Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwara Kalaviya and Chief Incumbent of Ruwanweli Maha Seya Most Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Nayaka Thero to receive blessings during the visit.

The occasion was attended by the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, beloved family members of the Commander and other representatives from the Air Force.
