SLAF ASSISTS TO DOUSE THE FIRE AT ELLA AREA
In response to a request from the Disaster Management Centre in Colombo, the Sri Lanka Air Force swiftly deployed a Bell 212 helicopter to conduct Bambi Bucket Operations at the site where a sudden fire outbreak occurred yesterday (23 July 2023) in the Ella area of Badulla district.
A total of seven Bambi Bucket Operations have been successfully executed by the SLAF, to douse the fire. Additionally, the Sri Lanka Air Force has mobilized the fire engines and skilled firefighters to provide crucial ground support for this ongoing operation.
