THE INTER UNIT BILLIARD AND SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP – 2023
The Inter-Unit Billiard and Snooker Championship – 2023 was held at SLAF Base Katunayake yesterday (27th of July 2023). The awarding ceremony took place at the Gymnasium of SLAF Base Katunayake with the graceful presence of the Director General of Administration, Air Commodore KMK Keppetipola, as the Chief Guest.
SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa emerged as the Overall Champions, while SLAF Base Anuradhapura secured the Runners-Up position. Mr. Saman Bandara and Leading Aircraftwoman Weerasinghe WMSH from SLAF Base Hingurakgoda were awarded as the Champions in the Billiards Open Men's and Women's events, respectively.
The ceremony was attended by the acting Director of Sports, Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Commanding Officer of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Members of the Air Force Sports Council, and other invitees.
