The 12th anniversary celebration was further enhanced with an eye clinic and distribution of reading glasses to civil personnel at the SLAF Station Mullaitivu today (09 August 2023). The Director General of Health Services, Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Lalith Jayaweera, and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mullaitivu, Group Captain Lakmal Jayathilaka, supervised the event. More than 175 civil personnel received medical assistance during the campaign.

The eye clinic was conducted with the participation of Group Captain Dr. Abey Jayasekara, Consultant Eye Surgeon and staff from the Directorate of Health Services, Air Force Hospital Colombo and Trade Training School Ekala. The Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) in Mullaitivu also provided essential support to ensure the success of the event.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit generously provided 200 spectacles to be used for deserving personnel at the eye clinic. The local community showed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the SLAF's efforts in organizing the event.
