The Change of Command at No 8 Tactical Transport Squadron, SLAF Base Ratmalana held on yesterday (10 August 2023) where the Wing Commander PDPP Dayananda RSP, Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc, qfi handed over the command to Wing Commander TP De Silva USP, qfi. The traditional handing over taking over parade was conducted at the squadron premises with the participation of squadron personnel.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Wing Commander PDPP Dayananda will proceed as the Staff Officer Air Operations I of Dte of Air Ops AFHQ Cbo. The newly appointed Commanding Officer, Wing Commander TP De Silva previously held the appointment of Officer Commanding Operations of No 8 Tactical Transport Squadron.
