The Aircraft Support Wing (ASW) celebrated its 14th Anniversary on 14 August 2023. The ASW was Established in 2011 at SLAF Base Ratmalana with the primary vision of enhancing the engineering capabilities of SLAF in support of flying operations in the spectrums of both Aeronautical and General Engineering aspects. Since its inception, this wing is carrying out repairs and overhauls of B-200, Y-12, PT-6, Bell 212/412 and Cessna 150 Aircraft to enhance the operational capability of the SLAF while saving thousands foreign currency to the country.

In line with the Anniversary celebrations, the Shramadhana Campaign was conducted at the School for the Deaf, Ratmalana on 11 August 2023 and refurbished abandoned furniture solving a major problem faced by the Children in the School. Further, ration packs were distributed to the Children in the school. The Anniversary celebration concluded with a friendly Cricket Tournament on 15 August 2023 with the participation of all service personnel and civil staff of the ASW.
