COMMANDER'S INSPECTION AT SLAF STATION PALAVI
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa conducted the annual Commander’s inspection at SLAF Station Palavi today (01 September 2023).
The Commander reviewed the Guard of Honour and awarded certificates of Commendation to the following personnel for their meritorious contribution to the Jistation in particular and to the Air Force in general.

Corporal Jayasinghe AA (Operations Ground III)
During the course of the inspection Commander visited Base Headquarters, No. 38 Regiment Wing, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training School, No. 05 Air Defence Radar Squadron and, all the other areas of the station. Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks and civilian employees of the station. During his speech, the Commander placed a paramount emphasis on performing assigned duties with excellence, adhering to established standards and giving one's best effort. Secondly highlighted that the integrity, encompassing honesty and loyalty to the organization, is deemed vital for maintaining trust within the Air Force. Moreover, the personal discipline was stressed for all service personnel, while the institution as a whole is expected to uphold a high level of discipline while preserving legal traditions. Accountability is also highlighted, with clear consequences for violations of these principles, although the Air Force is committed to assisting individuals in recovering from other mistakes and improving their lives. Finally, he conveyed his appreciation to all the individuals for their commitments to the SLAF.
