The No. 01 Supply and Maintenance Depot at SLAF Base Katunayake celebrates its 72nd anniversary yesterday (04 September 2023). The Formation Day celebration commenced with the customary working parade and the Commanding Officer, Group Captain NP Meragalage addressed all officers, airmen airwomen and civil staff of the Depot.

In line with the anniversary celebration, a Dharma Sermon was held at the Depot Conference Hall in the morning with the presence of Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal RN Thilakasinhe as the Chief Guest for the anniversary celebration.

Further, a charity program was conducted on the same day at “Lakshmi” Children’s Home, at Averiyawatta with the guidance of the Commanding Officer and the contribution of all members of No. 01 Supply and Maintenance Depot. Furthermore, the staff donated sports equipment and bed sheets and also offered dinner for the children.
